Giving
In July 2010 King Edward's launched its new Assisted Places Fund, which aims to ensure that the school remains accessible to all boys of ability, whatever the financial circumstances of their family. At the moment around 20% of pupils are here on an Assisted Place but our long-term purpose is to double the number of places available.
The King Edward's School Birmingham Trust (charity number 1129776) has been set up so that donations to the Assisted Places Fund can be held by a separate charitable body. The Trust's charitable status means that Gift Aid can be claimed on donations and that donors paying higher rate tax can also claim back some tax themselves.
