KING EDWARD'S PUPIL IS YOUNGEST EVER LEADER OF NATIONAL YOUTH ORCHESTRA

Roberto Ruisi, who is currently on an Assisted Place in the Fifth Form at King Edward's, has been chosen as one of the youngest ever leaders of Britain's prestigious National Youth Orchestra.  Click here to read more.

OLD EDWARDIAN GIVES £2.5M TOWARDS NEW MODERN LANGUAGES DEPARTMENT

£2.5m gift

A former pupil of King Edward's, who wishes to remain anonymous, has made a £2.5m donation towards a new Modern Languages Department at the school. The £5m project which also includes new science labs and a new sixth form centre. You can read more about this hugely generous gift here.

The King Edward's School Birmingham Trust has been accepted into the Big Give Christmas Challenge, a special initiative which means that any donations made to the Assisted Places Fund during next week will be doubled.  Click here to find out more about the challenge and to get involved.

KING EDWARD'S WINS NATIONAL FUNDRAISING AWARD

Award

In November the school won the 'Outstanding Fundraising Initiative' award at the Independent Schools awards ceremony for the success of the Assisted Places Campaign. The award was presented to John Claughton by Roger Black, the British Olympic athelete and TV personality. You can read more about the award here.
