Greater Birmingham Tournament Champions

17 December 2012

The U15 A XV played extremely well to win the Greater Birmingham Tournament for the first time in their four years of trying, beating Camp Hill (5-0), KE Aston (10-0) and Fairfax School (21-0).

After being runners up in the Tournament for the last three years, they met Bishop Vesey Grammar School in the final for the fourth year in a row. In the fifteen minute final, the team played with great skill and commitment to come away comfortable winners, 19 points to nil.

The team scored three excellent tries, the second of which started inside their own 22, and was as good a try as has ever been seen on South Field.

Other recent sporting successes include the U13 cricket team becoming Warwickshire County Champions, four boys being selected for U16 regional rugby teams, one boy selected to play for the Midlands U16 rugby team, and two boys selected for England Hockey's High Performance training squads.
