Report

The turn out for this reunion was exceptional - 45 old boys returned for the event. The day started with tea and coffee in the staff common room and a welcome from the Development Director. This was followed by a school lunch in the Dining Hall. After waiting patiently for the group photos (for which everyone managed to successfully get into alphabetical order!) the old boys then headed into Big School to hear a talk by Foundation Archivist, Alison Wheatley, and to see some of the KES archive material at first hand. Three groups of old boys were then led on a tour of the School by Derek Benson, Stuart Birch and Simon Lerwill. The tour included a visit to some classrooms, the chapel and the library.  Finally everyone returned to the Chief Master's study and managed to squash in to enjoy some well earned tea and cake and a talk from John Claughton. Then it was time to go and everyone headed back up the drive full of renewed friendships and memories.

John Claughton (Chief Master and OE, 1975), Sue Dickens (OEA Administrator), Simon Lerwill (Development Director), Alison Wheatley (Archivist), Stuart Birch (Former teacher) and Derek Benson (Former teacher and OE, 1953) also attended.
