Work placements

What are work placements?

Many Old Edwardians, across a range of professions, have signed up to offer work placements.  These are short (one or two week) placements in a firm which allow those taking part to get a taste of a particular profession.

Who is it useful for?

This service is available to current pupils in the Fifths who have to find a work placement in the summer.  However other current students and former pupils are also welcome to use the programme. Please be aware that during the summer holidays response times may be longer than expected. Extended work placements, in the form of gap year and summer internships, are also available.

How does it work?

Once you have been sent the contact details of an OE who is offering work experience it is up to you to contact them and to arrange the work experience.  Please make sure you have read our terms and conditions before contacting them.

How do I find an OE offering a work placement?

Simply search for a work placement by logging into My KES, the online Old Edwardian community, and, once you have found someone you want to contact, fill in the careers advice request form.  We will then send you the contact details of the Old Edwardian. Please note you can only request contact details of a maximum of 3 Old Edwardians in any one academic year. In addition, please be aware that if an OE has already been approached by someone else, we may not be able to put you in touch with them.
